Pushback

Econo-Rack's push back system provides selectivity in both the horizontal and vertical storage plane while maintaining multiple pallets stored in depth.

This flexible system allows a customer to store anywhere from 2 to 6 pallets in depth, and our systems can be placed back to back allowing for a maximum of 12 pallets deep of storage.

Pallet Flow lane depth varies widely, depending on application. Overall storage area can be reduced by 35% vs. Selective, in a typical 4-deep application.

Each level in a Push Back system holds a series of nested rolling carts which operate in a lane that slopes upwards away from the pick face. This rack acquired its name because the lift truck operator lines up in front of the first pallet and pushes against it, causing the first pallet to roll away from the pick face and expose the next cart. All carts are interlocked to prevent jamming and product damage.

Our carts are manufactured with a welded front, middle and rear cross member. The wheels on the carts travel inside an "I" beam rail. This heavy duty system even ties the rails to all the support beams.

Our carts also provide full support for the pallet and our Push Back system can provide a safety bar between the rails for the last pallet stored on the rails.

Our highly versatile system allows for the frames to be arranged in a traditional straight line front to back or a staggered frame pattern. The patented staggered pattern reduces the column load which reduces loading on the floor. It also reduces the capacity required on the support beam thus reducing the height of the beam and increasing the available vertical height.

Econo-Rack's Push Back Rack allows you to store multiple SKUs on different lane levels, enabling easy access. Combined with proper warehouse management, you can maintain First In First Out (FIFO) by emptying the oldest lanes first.

Safety and stability are always top priorities at Econo-Rack, and because this type of rack deals with dynamic loads, we takes care to ensure that the system is more robust than if static pallets were being used. Furthermore, it is important to store correct cross-sections of SKUs when using a Push Back system.
