Pick Modules
Econo-Rack’s pallet flow pick modules offer first-in-first-out (FIFO) storage for full pallets. Boxed items are picked from the pallet to a conveyor for transfer to other locations. This system provides dense storage of pallets and facilitates the compilation of multiple SKU orders. When storage and retrieval space is at a premium, multi-level pallet flow pick modules answer the call.
Key Benefits: FIFO – beneficial when inventory is date sensitive or perishable. Increased storage capacity. Reduced labor and equipment costs. Organized and accurate inventory – contributes to faster, more efficient order fulfillment; and allows for a quick, efficient inventory audit.
Advantages over Single Selective Racking: Installing Pallet Flow can generate space savings of about 35% in a typical 6 deep application. Converting an existing warehouse area from Single Selective Rack to Pallet Flow allows approximately 50% more pallets, in a typical 6 deep application. Where SKU volumes warrant, much deeper systems may be built, with even greater savings. High pick rates can be achieved in full case pick-to-belt applications. In this case, all lift truck access for both Pallet Flow and Push Back is from the replenishment aisle, keeping the pick aisle free from any lift truck contention. Our carton flow pick modules are designed for productivity. By separating picking and stocking aisles for full cartons and split cases, you can save up to 75% of your labor costs. Carton flow pick modules uses first-in-first-out (FIFO) and is thus an excellent choice for short shelf life items and when rotating your stock is important.
